For those unfamiliar with you, can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got involved in the fitness industry?

I grew up an athlete, and I played almost every sport under the sun. In high school I was recruited to play softball, basketball, and volleyball, and I ended up taking a scholarship to the University of South Carolina to play softball. I was in the weight room all of the time, and it was one of my favorite parts about being an athlete! I loved learning about my body, what it could do and how I could push it. After graduation, even though I graduated with a sports and entertainment management degree, I pursued fitness. Along the way, I had a lot of different mentors, researched my butt off, and got certified. I started personal training, and I fell in love with it! At that time, my social media platform was growing pretty quickly, and I realized there was a demand for online training. I wanted to share my passion of living a healthy life and help as many people as I possibly could, so I decided to jump at the opportunity. I started to take on clients, and the rest is history!

What was the best part of growing up as Preacher’s kid, and what was the worst part?

The best part was having morals and standards imprinted on me. I was taught to see the world as Jesus sees the world, and treat people as he would with love and compassion no matter their background. The worst part? I guess my parents were a little tough on me, and who I surrounded myself with. But at the same time, I can appreciate that now!

Tell us about the 12 week Alpha Female Program that you offer.

My Alpha Female Program was a program I designed for women who don’t just want a quick fix or to be spoon fed and told EXACTLY what to eat. The program essentially teaches women how to be their own coach. A lot of trainers won’t ‘reveal’ why they are teaching what they are teaching or how to do it. I find that silly; you can’t be someone’s coach forever! My goal is to educate my clients on their bodies and nutrition, and most importantly how they can change their mindset into becoming “Alpha-like.” I teach a REALISTIC fitness lifestyle, and show that it’s feasible to incorporate the social things we all enjoy in life without getting off track or feeling guilty about it.

How did you become involved with The Protein Cookie Company? And what do you love most about the company?

I was sent a few Protein Cookies from a friend of mine who is also an athlete with The Protein Cookie Company, Raymond Querido. From the first bite, I was absolutely hooked! I asked Raymond to reach out to The Protein Cookie Company for me because I wanted to introduce the macro friendly Protein Cookies to my Alpha Girls and my social media following! I spoke with the owner of The Protein Cookie Company, and we both a saw huge potential for us working together; it was a no brainer because I love their cookies!

When working with clients, are you able to incorporate The Protein Cookie Company’s Protein Cookies into their meal plan?

Absolutely! The Protein Cookie Companies Protein Cookies are the most macro friendly cookie on the market, and the best tasting.

Where does your motivation come from?

My motivation stems initially from just being happy that I am healthy. By pushing my body, and living this healthy lifestyle, I feel like I’m giving back to the blessing of health. Aside from that, I gain an enormous amount of motivation from being a coach, and someone who can influence others. I know if I stay motivated, hundreds maybe even thousands of people will gain motivation as well.

What is your favorite style of cardio?

Definitely HIIT cardio because it’s very effective, and I can get it done quickly!

What is your secret to your incredible arm development?

I believe it’s a number of things. The bench press is my bread and butter. You will find me doing it at least 3-4 times a week. Other than that, I do tons of accessory work to gain size and strength. My favorites would be heavy barbell curls, strict dumbbell curls and lateral raises that are slow and controlled.

What does your current diet look like?

As a flexible dieter, I am not restricted from what I can and can’t eat. It’s more about how much I eat of it. My meals change every single day, but a normal day would look something like this:

Evan’s Diet:

  • Morning: 1 cup Egg Whites, and 1 Whole Egg, 1 Chicken Sausage Link and 1 double Protein English Muffin
  • Snack: Protein Bar
  • Lunch: Chick fil A Grilled Sandwich, Fruit Cup
  • Snack: The Protein Cookie Company Cookie, Oatmeal Raisin
  • Dinner: 6 ounces Chicken, 1 cup White Rice and 1 cup Vegetables
  • After Dinner: Peanut Butter Banana Protein Shake

Which Protein Cookie is your favorite, and how do you fit them into your meal plan?

Oatmeal Raisin! My second favorite is The Protein Cookie Companies Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie. Fitting them in is easy. I just account for the macros at the beginning of the day as to not go over my macro budget.

What’s the one food you couldn’t live without? And how do you handle cravings?

Chick fil A for sure; I’m addicted! (Laughs) I handle cravings by allowing some room in my macros for the craving of choice!

What supplements could we find in your kitchen?

  • Cellucor Whey protein
  • Cellucor C4 (every kind)
  • Cellucor Alpha Aminos
  • Cellucor HD
  • Multivitamins
  • Fish Oil
  • Glutamine

Tell us about your tattoos and any plans for more?

I have about 5 tattoos. My tattoos all represent something different and are very meaningful to me! If I were to type it out, it would take me quite a while. (Laughs) I hope to make a YouTube video about them soon; so stay tuned!

Where’s the favorite place you’ve traveled to so far, and any travel plans for the summer?

To be honest, I haven’t traveled many places. I’ve actually never been out of the country. I do remember playing a softball tournament in St George, Utah. I thought Utah was breathtaking.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of the fitness industry?

I’m pretty normal and boring. I enjoy cooking, watching movies, cuddling with my pup. Nothing too interesting.

How do you feel your faith in God has impacted your life, and how do you feel it helps you being involved in the fitness industry?

As I said before, I think being a Christian, you love people right where they are, no matter who they are, or what their past was. I feel this helps me with my clients, because I have such a diverse group. I can only hope I show these women what Jesus looks like through my coaching and friendship!
