For those unfamiliar with you, can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got involved in the fitness industry?
I’ve always been really into exercise and sports; I played soccer competitively for 11 years, and I was on my high school volleyball team. I started going to the gym in high school, but I only did cardio. When I was in 10th grade, a friend introduced me to weightlifting. I started lifting heavy, and I loved the way my body began to look. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked!
When I was at the University, my best friend and I decided to prepare together for a bikini competition. I ended up placing second in my very first show! Now, I’ve done three shows, and I’m currently preparing for my fourth show, Provincial Championships, I’m hoping to place well and go to the nationals.
Tell us about your current occupation.
I studied for a year and a half at the University working towards a Kinesiology degree, but then decided to become a nurse. I ended up graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, and now, I’m a Registered Nurse working in a hospital.
What’s the one food you couldn’t live without? And as it gets closer out to a competition, how do you handle cravings?
I could not live without Quattro chocolate protein pancakes. I am able to eat them on and off season if I am preparing for a competition; I just change up the ingredients and measurements. As it gets closer to a competition, I chew sugar free gum and use Walden Farms products to satisfy my sweet tooth. If I’m craving something salty, I’ll eat green bean ‘fries’ that I bake in the oven with salt until they are super crispy.
What’s the one thing you look forward to treating yourself to after a competition?
After a competition, I get the exact same thing every time. I get a short rib sandwich with fries and a side of garlic mayo from the Cactus Club. If you want to make me happy, bring me that meal and I’ll be ecstatic. It’s my go-to cheat meal every time! (Laughs)
How did you become involved with Magnum Nutraceuticals? And tell us a little bit about the demos and what you love most about them?
A few weeks before my very first competition, I started using Magnum products. I noticed a drastic change to my physique from implementing these supplements into my routine. I sent them an email and told them that I truly believed in the quality of their products, and that I would love to be a part of Magnum to help them grow their brand.
I received an email inviting me to Magnum’s headquarters to meet the president, Markus Kaulius, and take some photos. If they liked the photos, I had a good shot at becoming a sponsored athlete. And they did!
I was so happy when I found out I was joining Team Magnum! I love when I go to demos and people that utilize their products tell me how they’ve been able to reach their goals with the help of Magnum’s products. I also love educating everyone about the different Magnum products; it’s a lot of fun to have people try our samples too before they buy them!

What are your 3 favorite arm exercises and why?
Barbell Curls: For me, to grow the arms these are a bodybuilding staple! I love lining up the weights. I start off with the heaviest and drop set and repeat 4 times until my arms are ‘toast!’
Hammer Curls: This exercise really allows me to see my muscles being worked in the mirror. I focus on slow and controlled movements for each rep and really squeeze at the top of the movement.
DB Shoulder Press: Any shoulder exercise is my favorite; it’s my favorite day! I dedicate two days a week to train and isolate just my shoulders. I’ve been noticing that my strength has been improving with shoulder presses. Each week, I am able to go higher and higher in weight for more reps.
Christine’s Training Schedule
I can’t share my exact plan because my coach has individualized it for me; it changes regularly, but this is my current week:
- Monday: Back
- Tuesday: Legs
- Wednesday: Shoulders/Abs
- Thursday: Biceps/Triceps
- Friday: Legs
- Saturday: Shoulders/Abs
- Sunday: Recovery
Christine’s Off Season Diet
- Meal 1: 1 Cup Egg Whites, 2 Slices 12 Grain Toast and 1 Tablespoon PB2
- Meal 2: 3 ½ Ounces Chicken, Big Salad with Vegetables and ¼ Cup Almonds
- Meal 3: 3 ½ Ounces Chicken, ½ Cup Brown Rice and Vegetables
- Pre Workout: 2 Rice Cakes and 20 Grams Peanut Butter
- Meal 4: Post Workout 1 Scoop Protein
- Meal 5: ½ Scoop Protein and ½ Cup Egg Whites
- Meal 6: 1 Cup Low Fat Cottage Cheese and 20 Grams Peanut Butter
Christine eats unlimited vegetables in the off season, and meal 5 is made into a pancake.
My off season diet changes daily if I’m craving a chocolate bar, I will fit a protein bar into my diet that day. And if I’m hungry for something like chips, I’ll fit Quest chips into my meal plan for the day. Off season, it’s all about balance, and I don’t go overboard. But, I do enjoy things that I normally wouldn’t have when prepping for a show.
I also carb cycle and play around with fats. So, I do not recommend that anyone follows this exact plan, as it is just a baseline and it works well for me.
Tell us about your Sunday meal prep.
I do my meal prep twice a week and, I’ve gotten pretty quick at it. I hate the texture of baked chicken, so I cook all of my chicken in a pan. I throw a bunch of veggies on a baking sheet, and bake it at a really high temperature, so the veggies get real crispy, almost burnt.
I weigh out all of my snacks for the week including peanut butter and almonds. And in between meals for snacks, I always have cut up cucumbers or bell peppers. For carbs, I cook a big pot of rice in my rice cooker, and my pantry is stocked up with rice cakes. The best thing I’ve ever bought for my kitchen was a food scale to help me with my fitness journey! I weigh all of my meals and put them into containers; I just grab them and go during the week.
Tell us about your recipe blog, what’s your favorite thing to bake in the kitchen, and do you have a recipe you’d like to share?
When I have free time, baking is my favorite thing to do. I use Magnum Quattro in all of my healthy baked treats. I like sharing my recipes on Instagram. I want people to know they can enjoy sweets that are healthier by using healthy alternatives such as Magnum Quattro, almond milk, and natural sweeteners like Stevia instead of flour, full fat milk, and sugar. Below is my latest creation!
Christine’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Quattro Cake
In a bowl mix with an electric mixture until smooth:
- 1 1/2 Cup Puréed Coconut (I used a brand called coconut manna- it has to be cold and firm) this will substitute for butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar Stevia Baking Blend
- 1/2 Cup Sweetener (I used Stevia)
- 1/4 Cup Non Fat Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 Cup Powdered PB2
- 1.5 Scoop Chocolate Peanut Butter Quattro Protein
- 3/4 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 ¼ Cup Oat Flour
- 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
- Top with sugar free Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and melted PB2 drizzle.
- Bake at 375 for 10 minutes and then 350 for another 10 minutes.
- Let cool on cooling rack before cutting.
Do you have any special beauty tips you’d like to share?
Always apply a primer before anything else. I use Hourglass Primer from Sephora, then my moisturizer, followed by foundation. This will keep your skin moisturized and prevent your makeup from coming off during the day.
What do you do to relax when you’re not working out?
This is embarrassing, but I love to lie on my couch in my pajamas, make a cup of tea and catch up on reality T.V. shows. I also love spending time outdoors when the weather is nice out, even if it’s just for a walk down the street to get a cup of coffee.
