For those unfamiliar with you, can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got involved in the fitness industry?
Growing up, I was always very active in sports. Football was my favorite; I was the captain of my high school team, it taught me a lot and it really got me training hard in the gym. I went on to play for Nova Scotia, and Concordia University in Montreal.
Over the years, my love for training grew, and I loved seeing what my body was capable of achieving. After football was over, I needed a goal. I had heard about a local bodybuilding show and that’s when I caught the competition ‘bug,’ and the rest is history!
Who has inspired or motivated you the most and why?
I have two amazing coaches from Team Excel who really push and motivate me.
My fiancé is my biggest support system; she keeps me on track, and our new baby girl is another reason I want to stay healthy and fit!
What’s the one thing you look forward to treating yourself to after a competition?
Anyone who knows me, knows my love for burgers! Burgers with sweet potato fries of course!Nachos are another one of my favorites.
How did you become involved with Magnum Nutraceuticals?
I got in touch with the CEO of Magnum, Bert Neibergall, after winning the overall title at one of my shows. We spoke at length, and he was very interested in getting me on the team. At that time, Magnum wasn’t on the East Coast yet. Luckily for me, I had connections in my area, and I was able to bring Magnum to the shelves in our local stores.
What Magnum products are you currently using?
- Morning Stack
- Rocket Science
Opus is great for late night workouts, because it’s a non-stim.
What does your current training look like?
My coaches and I change my workouts every eight weeks. We decide what I need to focus on to further develop my physique. I take two rest days a week, usually Wednesday and Sunday. Ideally, I try to keep them the same each week.
