Websites and Social Media:
For those unfamiliar with you, can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got involved in the fitness industry?
At the age of 17, when everyone else was heading off to college, I was teaching aerobics. I competed in my very first show when I was 20 and quickly fell in love with the sport. By 21, I was working full time as a personal trainer.
Tell us about Body Ripped.
BodyRipped was created 3 years ago and is a free website designed for fitness minded individuals who have a tight schedule and limited gym time. BodyRipped focuses on bodyweight workouts that get you ‘worked’ in less than twenty minutes. The site offers an App that allows you to take videos anywhere you go, so there’s ‘no’ excuse for skipping a workout! I have also designed a 12 week Fat Loss program within the site, and it can easily be downloaded to your computer. Be sure to stop by and check it out!
How did you become involved with Magnum Nutraceuticals?
I met Markus, the president of Magnum, in 2007 during an intermission of a fitness competition I was competing in. Markus signed me on as an athlete; shortly after that, I began running demos in my city. Magnum was brand new and to be honest, I really had no idea what they were all about.
At the time I was 23, and I felt like it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. Now, eight years later, I couldn’t ‘dream’ of not being a part of the Magnum family. As a supplement brand, nothing else can compare to them and as a company, they have done something magical by creating a team who shares the same values. The company truly has a family atmosphere.
What are your favorite Magnum products and why?
- Acid: Acid is a CLA, which I use year round; it helps me stay lean in a super maintainable way.
- Primer: This is hands down an obvious for me. Primer is my multi vitamin pack that covers everything I need.
- Quattro: This protein powder mixes so well; I use it every single day. I use it in pudding, shakes or as an after dinner treat. I love all of the flavors, but Peanut Butter Chocolate Addiction is my favorite.
- Heat Accelerated: When I need to get really lean for a photo shoot or a competition, I use Heat. Within 35 days of using Heat, I feel lighter and tighter! In the past, I have experienced awful jitters from other fat burners, but Heat gives me none of those side effects, which makes me a very happy girl.
Do you have a favorite Magnum recipe you’d like to share?
This recipe is so simple to make and all of my clients love it!
Kyla’s Protein Peanut Butter Cup
- 1 Scoop Peanut Butter Chocolate Addiction or Chocolate Quattro
- 1-2 Tablespoons water
- Stir together until it forms a smooth, but not runny pudding.
- If it’s runny add more Quattro.
- Place ½ of the mixture into a lightly greased mini Tupperware container.
- Freeze for 20 minutes.
- Place 1 Tablespoon of nut butter in the center of the frozen pudding.
- Cover with the remaining pudding and refreeze.
Do you prep your meals and if so how long does it take you?
I always prep an entire day’s worth of food the night before, but I live very close to the gym, and am able to sneak home to grab more food. On busy days, I keep it simple and can have it all prepped in 10 minutes.
What’s your favorite exercise and why?
The weighted hip bridge, to me this is one of the exercises that you can ‘really’ feel.

I switch up my diet a few times a year. Currently, I am 6 weeks out from a photo shoot, so I’m eating pretty clean. In general my macros are pretty even keel. I do try to keep my fat content slightly higher than my carbs with a moderate amount of protein. I season all my foods with ginger dressing from a local market and use Mrs. Dash herbs and spices.

I am obsessed with my dogs. Tucker is my newest addition. He is a mini Dachshund that I rescued from Alabama and baby Ziggy is his loving brother. My boyfriend’s dog, baby Bella is his sister. All three have a blast and are perfect for each other!
I love to travel, and have been blessed to do a lot of it. Live music makes my heart happy, and just being with my family, boyfriend and close friends makes me happy too!
