Beastly Travel Tip: #1
Lately, I’ve been on the road a lot, and after a while it’s hard to come up with foods that are easy to pack. Below are some of my newest snack additions to take on the road.
Superfood + Pepitas chia rosemary are very crunchy and include pumpkin seeds which happen to be one of my favorite. These little gems are a good source of magnesium and potassium and include heart healthy omega 3’s.
Mulberry Berries have a unique flavor; they taste like dried figs and make for a chewy, sweet snack. These berries are rich in antioxidants and make for a perfect morning boost.
You can eat them separately or combine them with your favorite protein powder. This makes for an excellent snack for a road trip. Here’s what I’ve been doing:
These pouches are easy to take on the road. Sometimes, I eat it right out of the package, or I combine them in a cup or a bowl.
Before I hit the road, for a nutty morning jolt, I combine the berries, nuts and I add 1-2 scoops of protein powder. Then I stir in some organic rice milk.
Before I head out, I create my own trail mix. I Mix nuts and berries with dry protein powder and portion it out into baggies. On the road I dip a spoon in and eat out of the baggie. I love this because it is so much healthier than the trail mix you buy in a store and it is packed with protein.
