Bath Soak: A Good Source of Magnesium

Pretty much everyone can benefit from magnesium unless you have hypermagnesemia. Having extra magnesium in my system is very, very important while going through chelation. And soaking in magnesium is one of the best ways to get it absorbed through your skin.

Magnesium comes in crystals, flakes, gels and oils. My friend Joan, from Health & Wisdom was kind enough to send me some of her products and I couldn’t wait to give them a try. Your skin is the largest organ, so it makes sense to soak in it. A 20-30 minute foot soak can do wonders for the whole body. Just make sure if you soak your feet, use metal and not plastic.

Try it

  • Soak your whole body in the tub or just your feet.
  • Do it 6 days a week for 4 weeks then cut back to three times a week.
After the initial phase:
  • I use the oil or crystals and soak for 20-30 minutes 2-3 times a week for maintenance.

There are so many benefits to soaking. One of my favorites is that it relieves aches and pains after a hard training session.

Beastly bonus:

Do you have a friend who’s been a little negative or moody lately? This could be a sign of low magnesium levels. Make them up a care package of magnesium crystals or oils to calm them down. They’ll be mellow and you’ll be a better friend for it.

Try it

Apply the magnesium gel or oil daily to your whole body, or the soles of your feet. This keeps your skin luxuriously soft and can be very relaxing after hot bath. You can add the snow to the tub, but I like to give myself a facial with it.

I absolutely love the using the snow for a facial. I will be ordering these; they make my skin so soft and smooth. * If you put them on your face like me, lean over the sink or you will have snowflakes on the floor.

Get creative

  • Make your own body spray by adding oil, filtered or PH water to a spray bottle.
  • Use the oil and add several drops to your toothpaste and brush as normal. This will tighten your gums, reduce plaque and whiten your teeth.

Adding a pinch of snow to my toothpaste leaves my teeth squeaky clean.

I like to personalize the gel by adding my favorite essential oils to it. I use peppermint to get my day started and lavender in the evening to unwind. 1. My husband’s grandfather was raving about mag oil so I’ve been researching it – he purchased from the same company…I think I might snag some! Thanks for the review 🙂
