Are you struggling to achieve better abs? No matter what you do you can’t seem to get them. If you haven’t reached your goal; then I am sure some of these tips will help you. I am not going to sugar coat it for you; you may not like everything I have to say. But if you still want them, try it. What have you got to lose?
#1) Believe they are obtainable. With consistency, eating clean and time, they can be yours.
#2) Consider it a lifestyle change; they are not something you are going to achieve overnight.
#3) You can do crunches until the cows come home, but abs were made in the kitchen.
#4) Stop asking and start implementing.
#5) Stick to the plan and don’t deviate. This is where beginners can go wrong listening to everyone else.
#6) Learn to listen to your body. Tweak your diet and make small changes.
#7) Don’t just do crunches, add resistance.
#8) Don’t obsess over cardio.
#9) Focus on the quality of your food.
#10) Don’t rely on fat burners; clean up your diet.
#11) Take CLA’s and/or a good quality fish oil.
#12) Remember at the end of the day it is still calories in versus calories out. You must be in a caloric deficit to see those abs ‘pop.’
#13) Use a calorie calculator such as MyFitness Pal to keep track of your daily caloric intake.
#14) Keep cravings in check by having meals prepared ahead of time.
#15) Avoid high frequency cheat meals.
#16) Ditch Sweet-n-Low and Splenda; they are chemicals.
#17) Choose Stevia, 1 TBSP of honey or 1 TBSP of sugar no more.
#18) Know the difference between slow and fast carbohydrates and when to use them.
#19) Choose quality complex carbohydrates such as old fashioned oats, brown rice, and sweet potatoes.
#20) Focus on complex carbohydrates.
#21) Select a grain with 3 grams of fiber per serving or more.
#22) Avoid simple carbohydrates including white bagels, white bread, white potatoes and white rice with the exception of pre/post.
#23) Limit fruit to pre and post workout.
#24) Learn how to read a food label.
#25) Can’t kill it or grow it, don’t eat it.
#26) Can’t pronounce it, don’t put it in your mouth.
#27) Ditch the booze.
#28) Ditch the cola and the juice. Opt for water.
#29) Ditch processed foods.
#30) Ditch your protein bars.
#31) Ditch the sugar.
#32) Don’t eat ‘pretty well’ and think you are going to achieve a six pack.
