Memorial Day Low Fat Fruit Filled Yogurt Dessert

This recipe will satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth and it’s simple to make! Get creative and add your favorite fresh summertime fruits to it.

Beastly Ingredients

  • 1 cup low fat Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup banana
  • 3 large strawberries
  • ½ cup mango
  • ¼ cup pineapple chunks
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons cherry juice

Beastly Instructions

To make this, I first grab a small glass bowl and add 1 cup of Greek yogurt to it. I then combine the yogurt with 2 tablespoons of cherry juice. I mix it thoroughly and set the bowl to the side.

Next, I cut and slice the banana and strawberries. I remove the peel from the mango and cut it into slices as well. I place the sliced fruit in a large glass bowl.

Now I open the can of chunked pineapple and add ¼ cup of pineapple to the large glass bowl. I then add ¼ cup of blueberries to the bowl.

Once all of my fruit is in the bowl, I take a tall flute glass and add a small amount of the yogurt mixture to the bottom of the glass. I proceed to layer the fruit and the yogurt, fruit and yogurt. You can layer it any way you would like.

Beastly Recipe Notes

The original recipe called for freshly peeled kiwi. I don’t care for kiwi, so I eliminated it. Pick your favorite fresh fruits and layer them. You could try apricots, peaches or cherries.

Instead of cherry juice you could use the juice from the pineapple. You could also top this with sliced almonds or walnuts and raisins.
